The emperor was getting on in years, and he had lost a lot of his spark to various wars in the stars and a never ending stream of rebels just begging to get zapped, so he had to catch a little lightning monster for his pocket. The shocking thing was- that little lightning rat didn't like to be pushed around, and his little furry body held enough electricity to shock the robe off the emperor himself!
