Buddhist Cat Funeral

In 2009, redditor meowmeowstar’s cat died. They took it to a Tokyo funeral parlor especially for pets, and photographed the process of Buddhist funeral rites. The rituals resemble those of human funerals in Japan. Seeing the funeral, cremation, and memorial may be interesting and/or comforting, or they may be disturbing. Be warned that the photo album contains one image of the deceased cat and several of cat bones. They are an important part of the customary interment process. -via reddit
