Mark Anderson purchased a package of 1966 Doubl Glo Batman Valentines off eBay, although he probably paid more than the 59 cent cover price for them. Valentines Day 1966 was less than a month after the Batman TV series debuted, so the artwork is comic book-related, yet the characters had already exploded in popularity among schoolchildren. By the next year, the Batman Valentines would have photos of the TV actors on them. Like any vintage Valentines, these appear rather goofy today. I don't understand the Penguin Valentine at all. You can see lots more of them, enlargeable for printing, at Andertoons. -Thanks, Mark!

That's pretty lame, for sure.

"Hissable" rhymes with kissable. Plus, he's a villain, which means hissing is appropriate. Not a very good pun, but there you go.
