Pope Francis Embraces Very Deformed Man

A week ago, we posted about Pope Francis's kindly response to a little boy interrupting his work. Anne Packrat Matthews commented, "I seriously love this pope." Jay Melo agreed and said, "Me too and I'm not even Catholic."

Nor am I, but I am likewise impressed with the way Pope Francis is handling his job. He drives an old car, playfully spins a boy who sits in his seat in the Popemobile and sacks a bishop who's living ostentatiously

On Wednesday, a man whose body has been disfigured by neurofibromatosis approached him. A lesser man might recoil in revulsion. But Pope Francis embraced him, kissed him and prayed with him.

I'm from Argentina (same country he's from). He's always been like this.
Aside from being as humble and loving as you see him now a days... You could find him on the subway every day and you could go talk to him whenever you wanted to. Even as a Cardinal, he took public transportation and talked to strangers.

I wonder if the pope has always been this courageous/loveable or we have more of an opportunity to be part of it all with the rise of social media and news available 24/7? Pope Francis is showing himself to be a Pope i can believe in and to truly follow the teachings of the Catholic church. Makes me want to recronsider finding my rosary and making it to Mass this week.
