I had the awfulest time teaching my kids that. I couldn't understand why they raced to get into an elevator the second it opened, until I realized they were racing against EACH OTHER, for the privilege of pushing the buttons!

My family used to camp in Carpenteria every year for spring break and these mints were the highlight of the trip! Well, that and The Spot for burgers and The Palms for steaks. And from what I recall, the owners are Luc Robataille's aunt and uncle? I can't remember. The mints are pricey but worth it, in my opinion. I think I'm going to order up a box right now. :)

The picture doesn't really do them justice but they are much flatter than poker chips, actually. Once you see them they look nothing like a poker chip. Or maybe it's just because we always used to get the pastel ones and you don't really see pastel poker chips all that often.
