46 Reasons My Three Year Old Might be Freaking Out

Anyone who has ever had a three-year-old can relate to this list. These problems are overwhelming to a child just learning how the world works, but oh-so-funny to his parents. I had a hard time picking out just a few examples, but here they are:

The car seat is weird.

He’s hungry, but can’t remember the word “hungry.”

He’s not allowed in the oven.

I picked out the wrong pants.

His hair is heavy.

His sleeve is touching his thumb.

The inside of his nose stinks.

The rest are just as funny. And then commenters provided even more reasons from their real-life experiences! Link  -via Metafilter

My 3-year-old came to me at the park once crying because a baby *almost* touched her. She also got really upset the other night when I told her she couldn't take the broom and dustpan to bed with her.

My 2-and-a-half-year-old grandson freaks out when:
Daddy won't get in the crib with me.
I want help but I don't want to say what I want help with.
Mommy won't put the sip of chocolate milk she took back into the cup.
You said yes but I'm not done freaking out about the possibility of you saying no!

Oh man, I clearly recall when my little brother was that age. He had a meltdown because he wanted to watch a certain TV show. It was about 1962, and if it wasn't being broadcast at that time, no one could watch it. He did not want to listen to my explanation.

My niece had a meltdown because her tall fat glass was half full of milk while her sister's skinny short glass was completely full. There was no explaining to her that her own glass likely had more milk in it. The only answer was another short glass of equal size...into which we could not pour all of her milk...but she was happy.
