I was once married to a musician who always wanted to name a band Free Beer because it would look good on a marquee. I'm pretty sure that was the thinking behind Barenaked Ladies. Yes, those are good band names for the purpose of live performance promotion. Although FOUND DOG might draw more of an audience than LOST CAT. The WORST names: TO BE ANNOUNCED, CANCELLED and $20 COVER. Also TICKETMASTER. Just sayin'.
