Turning Life Into A Playable Video Game

(Vimeo Link)

Daniel Disselkoen had a really interesting concept in mind while working on his graduation project "Remake Reality"- what if life could be more like a video game?

His response is Man-eater, a fun little art installation/inspiration for imaginative tram riders that encourages passengers to play along.

You close one eye and imagine that little Man-eater in the window gobbling up pedestrians as you ride the tram across town.

Doesn't that sound like a fun way to pass the time on public transportation?

Cuimhne,

I actually would have bought one out of curiosity ... I just couldn't find where they sell it online! I'm a total sucker for gadgets that makes no sense.

I saw a TV clip one time of Asian people (I believe they were retail workers) in actual smiling classes where they were holding a pencil width-wise between their teeth (presumably to hold the corners of the mouth back in a broader smile.) It seems the bigger, wider, toothier smile is considered better and more welcoming (and probably "more American".)
