You cannot broadcast any part of the Olympic Games in the U.S. unless you are NBC. You can't even say the word "Olympics," so I expect to get a nasty email from the IOC any day. But The Wall Street Journal found a way to illustrate the race in which American swimmer Missy Franklin won the 100m backstroke the other day. They recreated the race with little paper puppets! And that sheds some light on why the Guardian recreated the U.S.-France basketball game with Lego minifigs. I am looking forward to seeing other creative ways to illustrate news stories when the video is embargoed. Link -via the Presurfer
