This beautifully odd building in Brunswick, Germany was designed by Olaf Jäschke and the late American pop artist James Rizzi. The Happy Rizzi House was deeply controversial among residents of that city when it was built. But I want one in my town. Don't you?

Rizzi died? I hadn't heard. He was in Tom Tom Club. I picked up one of his pieces in the west village back in the 80s. Still have it.

Actually I guess he designed and animated album covers and videos for Tom Tom Club but wasn't in it.

I'd love to have it in my town... as long as it wasn't located in a place that I had to see it daily. I'd feel sorry for those who lived next to it.
