The street artist ROA ! made this enormous mural on a building in Atlanta, Georgia. It was his contribution to the Living Walls Conference, a street art symposium.
it's a moose... not an elk - the head gives it away. I was just in Sweden. It's a female mouse hence no antlers. Elk look like rein deer, this appears to be a young moose though.
The Swedish word "älg" is "moose" in American, Australian, and New Zealand English, but "elk" in British English. Most Swedes learn English from a British influenced source, so often translate it as "elk."
As Andrew said, moose is elk in Europe. Also, male elk lose their antlers every year and grow a new set each spring, so lack of antlers is not a definite mark of a female animal.
