The 1982 film Koyaanisqatsi, although beautiful, was 82 minutes long with no dialogue or narration. Wyatt Hodgson sped it up 1552% to fit into five minutes, which is a treat for the eyes you surely have time for. The music is "The Holy Egoism of Genius" by The Art of Noise. -via I Am Bored

Sorry to be a sour puss, but i believe it adds nothing to Koyaanisqatsi to speed it up. The reason being that the music doesn't fit the rhythm of the pictures.
This de-connexion creates a meh effect instead of a wow ! effect.

Discloser, i'm a big Koyaanisqatsi fan, but my point is technical.

If you are going to do this with the video, why not just speed the music up 1552% as well. Perhaps you could also lower the pitch of the music so it doesn't sound like over caffeinated rodents.... but that is simple enough to do...

I'd watch this just because it would add another dimension to the original project.
