As for the fight scenes, Yuen-Woo Ping choreographed every single one of the movies mentioned, as well as The Matrix. It's not that anything is getting remixed or ripped off in this case, it's just that particular choreographer's style.

I was expecting great swaves of fight choreography to be identical, the odd move here or there that is probably in a ton of martial arts film being used in The Matrix is no real surprise.
