You know these people are serious when they make a d12. No one uses a d12 except for unsophisticated barbarians! ...No, really, only the barbarian class need a d12.
I could see how they would be appealing to table top gamers (my first reaction was "WOW! AWESOME") but then functionality becomes a question. How random would the dice roll be with all the parts sticking out? (I know that no plastic dice is perfect, but these seem especially problematic)...How might the barbs damage the gamer's hand or the playing table? How heavy would they be? I've seen metallic dice, but they tend to be small because of weight issues.
Otherwise, these dice look fantastic! Perhaps they should remain in gaming history as a transition of gamer's tools to art.
Holy frickin WOW. That has got to be the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. The attention to detail is just insane. Boy, I would love to live near this!
