This, being the fourteenth day of the third month, is National Pi Day -- a day to recognize the mathematical constant of pi. In this video, the daughter of YouTube user kurtgodden recited the first 500 digits of pi in 90 seconds. She's memorized the first 2,300.
How will you celebrate pi day today?

How would I celebrate? Let me count the ways: coconut cream, key lime, cherry, mincemeat, apple, lemon meringue... but the greatest of these is blackberry.

Well, actually, I'd love to EAT pie, but I'm dieting. Maybe next year....

Where I work, every year we have free pizza for lunch and this year one of the employees will be reciting the first 3,141 digits of Pi. (I think he knows more, actually.)

She's amazing! I am inspired by her to celebrate pi day by not baking a cake. Also, in response to Xayzer's ennui regarding pi: Pi is incredible when you think about it, the diameter of a circle divided into the circumference = infinity? WTF?! If i was the mathematician who discovered infinity I think I might be in an insane asylum today. Pi can be viewed as the equation of all life's mysteries.
