Strange Circular Suburbs of Copenhagen

All is explained if you read the top-ranked comment in the Reddit thread at the via:

"I feel that I should mention that this is not a normal living area. These houses are called "Kolonihavehuse". They are small houses, about 30-40 m^2, with a garden. People who live in the city sometimes have these to have a little undisturbed garden somewhere. The houses usually have a living room, bathroom and a small kitchen. People do not actually live there, and people rarely sleep there."

Make the inner circle bigger if you want more than one car. Can't have a garage, though, but the yards are at least all green space.

Interesting, but not practical in the States. There is room for only one car per house. On the plus side, it uses far less pavement per house than any other design.

Great idea but seems to be curiously executed, unless that is a flood plain?

I would have thought the houses would have no fence onto the fields. I can't see a gate.
