24 Types of Libertarians vs. 24 Types of Authoritarians

Please negotiate the poster rights. I want all three framed and on the back of my kitchen door.

I'm not familiar with 23 of the 24 types of "progressive" shown.

The authoritarian one is full of fail. Nothing really authoritarian there (who are more like wannabe fascists). The general idea would be more "pro-big gov". And even that is inconsistent (pro tax socialists, religious dead head...).

The progressive one is much better and funny, even if not fully coherent. But considering the imposed format, it's pretty good.

Re Libertarian #4:

most people haven't read the evidence. for example, I get into it over gun rights constantly, and people are appalled to find out that ~3 million crimes in progress are stopped every year by private citizen carrying firearms in the US.

Data from about 20 people can be extrapolated to the entire US population? I never knew that!

The first guy makes a funny comic and the other two ride his coattails. Okay, it might be more irritating than funny if you don't agree with his politics, but the fact remains he MADE something, not just changed the words.

The Authoritarian strip is the best. It perfectly reflects the talking heads in the media, which is yet a reflection of the Political climate in general.

@Humos: Fascism IS Authoritarian. But if you wanted a specific fascist panel for the Authoritarians, then you'd have someone justifying government taking over businesses and/or the use of bailouts to dangle a carrot and a mighty big stick.

I'm the cartoonist who created the original cartoon. My first reaction, upon seeing this post, was "Oh, cool! I've made Neatorama!"

So far, these are the only three that exist, but I'd encourage anyone else who wants to, to go ahead and remix my cartoon. The more the merrier.

And Edward, since you asked: You can buy a poster to my version of the cartoon by following the link here (also available on a tshirt). I think Bob Hayes, who made the one making fun of progressives, is planning something similar but hasn't gotten around to it yet.

I’m pretty far left and fairly libertarian, so I don’t feel like I fit into any of these completely, and all of them a little.

That said, the first one is really funny and makes good points.
The authoritarian one is just OK
The Progressive one just wasn’t funny and didn’t actually seem to be about people in this world.

There should be a thirteenth panel in each comic representing, respectively, the type of Libertarian, Authoritarian, and Progressive who don't think their respective cartoons reflect the beliefs of real people.
