As I posted on that site, any time you have a siren blaring (i.e. ambulances, fire trucks and police cars) you will have dogs howling. There are higher sound frequencies in all of those that hurts dogs’ ears. The L&O theme has some of the same elements in it, like a musically played siren tone, that gets peoples’ attention and, as posted by someone earlier, tones that hurt dogs ears. Even knowing that, it never dawned on me until this post that dogs would be affected by the theme (I don’t have a dog). Pretty cool!
Time for a government grant, to conduct rigorous testing.
