Peeps in Places Photo Contest


National Geographic is running a photo contest called Peeps in Places. Just take a picture of one or more marshmallow Peeps posing in some travel destination, add them to the Filckr pool, and tag them as "NGTpeeps." Due to enthusiastic response, the original deadline has been extended until Monday, April 13th. Winners get prizes from Nat Geo and Just Born (the maker of Peeps)! Link to contest information. I wish I could get Peeps here in the UK. I miss those little buggers.

Marilyn, that's about as enlightened as it gets for me. As DOJ said, why throw them away? When you have the whole animal, you should use the whole animal. :)

I always laughed at the "$435.00 hammer" story until I worked for a company that sometimes worked on federal government contracts. One time we were contacted to supply a specific hard-to-get part for the refrigeration system on a U.S. Navy or Coast Guard ship - - by the time our companies' highest paid employee had spent the better part of TWO DAYS filling out compliance forms (manufacturing origin, safety certification, testing history, etc.) that 3 dollar part ended up costing U.S. taxpayers almost $1,000.00...
