Webcam "Angel" in a Cozumel Scuba Club

Neatorama reader Nick Schwartz sent us this intriguing account of an "angel" captured on a webcam from a scuba club in Cozumel, Mexico:

"One of my bookmarks is a scuba club in Cozumel - which I have never been, but I'm from Buffalo, NY and its nice to see something tropical once in a while. So point of all this being, I opened the app and saw what looks to be an angelic figure walking through the scuba club. I don't have any program to zoom in on this image but it's certainly something interesting. Some say angel. Some say a bunch of coincidences coming together at the moment I opened it. "

... and soon after, the "angel" was gone:

What do you think? Is it an angel or just Buzz Lightyear showing up for a little night dive? Thanks Nick!

I zoomed in and used some sharpening filters and giggled a bit.

Its a man (dressed in white) carrying two plastic tables and putting them on his head for stability. The tables are top-to-top with each of them having their legs outwards. Obviously club staff (hence the white overalls) clearing up tables for the night. He is moving towards the camera, and the low resolution shot blurs because of this.

man, I was hoping to come to the comments and see where to view this feed! I'm in Minneapolis - a little tropical love wouldn't hurt, you know?

cancel your feed / stop visiting because of one silly post? Isn't that sort of a childish reaction - throwing a fit?

anyhow, (specifically @ Taluta) not all hoaxes have to be photoshoped. It could in fact be a person dressed weird on purpose, and got in front of the camera.

but in this case it seems bobbynotick was on the ball. :P

I agree after some editing it looks like a guy carrying a table.

The ghost effect can easily be explained by night time over exposure in the light since he is moving.

Looks kind of like EVA-01 from Evangelion.

OMG!!! It is a talking beaver from the side of the road, dressed in bacon, carrying two table tops to an unattended highway sign that he has reprogrammed to read "zombies ahead." Anyone can see that. Geeez.

If you look really close even on the posted picture here you can see his face through the clear plastic table. The tables are top to top with one set of legs pointing up, the other going behind his neck.
In fact it's quite obvious a guy carrying tables just from the posted pic, just look at it close up, his shoes stand out too

Now, come on; if it were an angel, he'd be putting those wings to use, doncha think?

And what's with all the bile spewed over this post? What if the image captured some guy walking on tip-toe, wearing black or red with something looking like horns sticking out his head? Spirituality is only ok to discuss if it's from the dark side?

why do people get so upset when the content of Neatorama isn't exactly what they believe it should be? there are a lot of things on this blog that i don't care to read but i don't get mad or even take the time to post a comment about how it's wrong of Neatorama to post such tripe. get over yourselves, or at the very least, scroll down and read on.

at first thought "its an eva!"
second thought "its a guy moving a table"
third thought "there are some really dumb commenters here" [eric, karen, cluck]

Well since the time difference between the two exposures is about 15 mins, I'm going to say it was someone in a costume who walked down that pathway.

Why did so many people get upset about this? Alex seemed to be joking and others simply pointed out what the photo actually is but I dont understand the outrage that some people had about an "angel"

Because it's "Hip and Edgy" to be anti-religious on today's innertubes by spoiled secular libtards
perhaps if it was a pic of the Obamessiah they would be inclined to wax rhapsodic about the orgasms it induced

15 minutes is a long time to say "… and soon after, the "angel" was gone"

I support the theory that it is a man moving a table.
Did you notice the lights (on the right hand side) are on when the man is out but as soon as he has finished his job he goes in and switches off the lights.

Or were the lights left on for the Angel ?

Its sad to see so many skeptics online. If the author believes is an angel then let him/her believe it is. There is no need to discredit someone because their beliefs and your logic doesn't coinside that's the beauty of faith. Everything isn't always backed by evidence
