The original Spiral Island was (as its successor will be) built upon a floating collection used plastic bottles, all netted together to support a bamboo and plywood structure above. Located in Mexico, the original was 66 by 54 feet and was able to support full-sized mangroves to provide shade and privacy, yet also able to be moved from place to place by its creator as need with a simple motorized system.
Who hasn't wanted their very own private island? And what if you could build it with some friends and free recycled objects. Sound too good to be true? This guy has built not one but two!

Yeah, I agree though, it doesn't really look like it would occupy me past watching the video.
I can see it now, "gee dad, this makeshift pinball machine is way better than any X-Box"!
It doesn't really work like a real pinball machine, but it costs nothing!
This version amounts to the same as putting a tennis ball in a cardboard box and shaking it about.
Don't point that finger at me! My home Particle Accelerator didn't fail because I was high. It was due to sub-standard outsourced parts. And poorly translated manuals. Like, totally.
will never give a flip for pinball. Maybe a
video game or a cel phone, but sadly, pinball
is soon to be something from the past.
Thanks for the great idea :)
