That would so nerve racking! That astronaut must have had real faith in the ground control team and his crew mates to be able to do something like that.

Fear of open space is agoraphobia. I'm sure that astronauts are fully vetted not to have these sorts of phobias. (Or maybe they just drink to take the edge off before launching into space).

Ohhh... I don't even like looking at that. It's like the opposite of claustrophobia. What happens if they can't catch the astronauts again? *shudder*
