I Wonder Why I'm Not Catching Anyone ...

ahh yes the po-po.
I once got a ticket from a cop that was hiding in someones driveway at a 3way stop at 3 AM (NO TRAFFIC). I THOUGHT i came to a full stop, but oh no... it was a "rolling stop" according to the cop. flashing lights +ticket. I find out later that this is his favorite hiding spot, nice.

Same cop a few weeks later (yep recognised him) is at a light waiting for it to turn green. A car pulls out of a parking lot to his right. Goes across 4 lanes of HEAVY traffic against all signs and solid yellow lines (plus a turning lane), narrowly misses a oncomming car, and goes into a lot on the other side of this busy road...all RIGHT IN FRONT of this cop. The cop dosn't do a damn thing. cause he's waiting for his light and has "things to do".

love it.

Don't be so bitter. If you broke the law, you deserved the ticket. If you want to tell the police who they should be ticketing, maybe you should become one.

If this sign isn't photoshopped, the cops probably don't mind it. It gets people to slow down at that spot.

re ted:

Not all people agree that all laws are just. Therefore, when one harmlessly rolls through a stop sign and has to pay the govt hard-earned cash, one can be a little bitter. I hate assholes like you who think that all laws must be followed to the letter; the law is not god's word; it is man's word, and we all know about man...

Yes, but you can't be mad if you knowingly break the law and have to pay the consequences. If you think the laws of the country you live in aren't just, then either do all you can to change them, move to another country, or follow the laws. Or, of course, break them and get punishment.

Well the problem with my ticket was that it WAS unjust.
But it was my word against the cops when I contested it in court. Really, how do you prove you come to a full stop anyway?

Cop didn't even have footage of it, or if he did, it wasn't shown.

re dan:

Who says you can't be mad if you knowingly break a law and are then punished for it? I'm sure I'm not the first to be upset at government sanctions based on laws I had no hand in approving. I guess you are Mr. Never Breaks The Law, but most of us are not. And when we are forced to suffer because we are taxed by the Big Man for crimes we feel are unjust and just unnecessary, well, what is there NOT to be mad about?? I don't think any amount of petitioning and political action would ever change (in my favor) the traffic laws. Does that mean I need to get out of the country or just STFU? No, I don't think so. I'll bet you're a cop...

Well I am glad you follow by god's law but there are people that roam this earth without those concerns therefore laws are made to protect EVERYBODY. If you do a rolling stop and some kid expecting you to stop darts in the road then what? Or better yet the cop decided he wanted to leave that parking spot when he was expecting you to stop. Granted if you are a good drive you anticipate others moves but the laws are there to protect everyone just not for when it is convienient for you to follow them.

Brayden. Don't call me an asshole because I suggested that Nora shouldn't break a perfectly reasonable law. And don't put words in my mouth. If you can find an unjust law that you're forced to abide by, and want to break, then you go ahead and break it. Don't act like so self-righteous.

If you don't like the system, then quit bitching about it, and change it. Maybe we should make all stop signs into yield signs. That way, people can just slow down at intersections. My, how you must suffer under that law.

I've gotten speeding tickets, and I've been ticked off about it, but I was breaking the law. I could eat my heart out all day long about all the other lawbreaking that goes unpunished, but why should I waste my time?

Like I said, you want to enforce the law, become a cop. If you don't, then quit whining and don't break the law - or if you must, break the law, but don't get caught.

Are you a troll, Brayden? You don't sound like a very friendly person.

funny picture, but you guys are taking it way to far. some people never break the law, some people always break it. some people are just in the wrong place at the wrong time. yall need to give it a rest.
