Hello Kitty Wedding.

Neatorama reader Joe Hastings wrote:

I walk past this every day on my way home from work. It is located in the Hong Kong MTR (underground/subway/metro) station and it is constantly surrounded by people taking photographs. I figured I would join the crowds and get some snaps of this monstrosity. Worse than being some creepy addition to the universe of Hello Kitty crap across the world, an actual, legal, marriage has taken place here.

Turns out the first ever legally valid subway Hello Kitty Dream Wedding was held in February 2007:

Witnessed by relatives, friends and MTR passengers, bridegroom Jamie and his bride Horlick with their bridesmaids and groomsmen, boarded the first-ever MTR Hello Kitty Wedding Train and headed towards to MTR Hong Kong Station. The wedding train was specially designed for the occasion with images of Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel dressed as little cupids covering the train body and compartments. The interior was decorated with flowers and ribbons in the grandest and most romantic fashion.

I think it's adorable. The groom obviously loves his bride so much that he is willing to do this dream wedding for her. If only all guys would do the same...

Horlick, seriously?!? Not only does it sound rude (if you've got the same childish mind as me) but she also has a malted beverage product on the go in the UK:
