Watching these guys imitate an anime scene is funny yet somehow scary, and it’s made much worse by the fact that they’re acting out to a Backstreet Boys song, especially when the guy on the left’s hair is so much cooler than all of the Backstreet Boys put together. The man calling himself the Eyeborg has put together a short documentary detailing modern bionics and cutting edge prosthetics, part of which was filmed using his eye camera.

Rob Spence lost his eye in a firearm accident a few years back, but the filmmaker refused to stop doing what he loved, so he had a prosthetic eye camera specially designed, and thus became the first person to have a implanted camera replace their eye.

Square Enix are Rob’s newest sponsors, and they have commissioned him to make a video that compares modern prosthetics and bionics to the bodily enhancements found in the new game Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The guys from Epic Meal Time are blowing up YouTube with their crazy food-centric comedy videos, recipes seemingly created by Paula Dean while she was on acid, and devil may care attitudes that make them a big hit with the ladies. Every recipe these guys dream up starts with trays full of bacon, and become more and more insane as another ingredient is added. This edition, entitled Sausage Fest, shows you how to make sausage out of big macs and beef sandwiches, among other crazy combinations of (often fried) food which have never been stuffed in a sausage casing before. When the term Fan Film is used to describe what you’re about to watch, you normally don’t expect much from the film or the maker.  This film, entitled Portal: No Escape is unlike any fan film i’ve ever seen, because it’s downright quality-looks good, well written, stylish and entertaining throughout.  No Escape should definitely raise the bar for future fan films, and I would love to see this film, and quality fan films like it, turned into YouTube mini series one day. Why is it that this short film rocks and most big budget video game movies are terrible? I guess Hollywood needs to hire more fans to help make their films!

Yeah, this video is really long, and nearly impossible to sit through all at once. Clocking in at a whopping 45 minutes, this is an in-depth tour of Middle Earth which was constructed in the game Minecraft, with some cheesy sounding dialog that you’ll probably want to mute. But the value of this video isn’t in the presentation, but rather in the effort put forth by the “builders” of a virtual Middle Earth, and the fact that this open ended construction game is capable of such an epic scale construction. But, f you don’t care to sit through the entire thing skip ahead to the highlights-Rivendell, at around 28 minutes, and the Mines of Moria, at around 33 minutes. Who knows, you might find yourself inspired to build your own cubic fantasy world.

This funny short, written and directed by Casey Donahue, is a template for every couple’s arguments, ever. I don’t know if there’s anything missing (there are no doors to slam, so I guess that’s just implied), but I do know that saying “I am always right” is the fastest way to start this thing on loop. So maybe don’t do that. You always do that.

Neatoramanaut Naimul brings us video of an event that happened at his workplace, WCG in San Francisco. A thief brazenly cuts through a bike chain and takes off on the bicycle, right in front of the office windows. The first one out the door is a designer named Kristen.

People have complained that we didn’t beat him up, but the truth is, it was pretty scary—the guy was kinda big, and when we called office security on him, he pulled a knife on the security guy (the dude in the shorts with the badge that walks down at the end of the video). We obviously didn’t know the guy had a knife, but living in SF you hear stories about deadly bike thieves.

I think stopping the theft was enough bravery for the day. -Thanks, Naimul!
