This classy, if a tad expensive ($4,500!) sink doesn’t come with fish, but it does offer a habitat for them. There’s a light in the back as well as access ports on the top. The producer recommends that you get a professional plumber to install it.

The architecture firm Minarc designed and built a kitchen sink that’s made from old rubber tires. It’s called RUBBiSH and is made in the following manner:

The rubber from the tires is melted down and cleansed of debris, and the tiny inherent metal fibers that give a tire its road resistance are then formed into a sheet. This sheet is stretched over a base frame—made of wood, metal, or any other material out of which bathroom furniture can be fashioned—and anchored down by the drain collar. This creates a shallow-sloped surface for water to be siphoned away, but not a clunky profile; in fact, the material used is so minimal that, the manufacturer claims, the sinks use less than one pound of rubber.

Bypass clogged pipes with the Abisko Washbasin from Eumar. I remember seeing something similar to it at the newly-renovated terminal of the Jacksonville International Airport, where you could also get a Brazilian waxing for $65 while waiting for your plane to depart. Which is a good idea, because I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought to myself “Hey, l should go down to the airport and get a Brazilian waxing.” But I digress: waterslide sink, coming to a floor drain near you. Nifty, eh?

Hijinks in the sink at an Anderson fast-food restaurant have cost three girls their jobs.

After closing the Anderson Kentucky Fried Chicken one recent night, the girls stripped to their underwear or changed into bathing suits and took a bath in the dishwashing sink. One of them posted the photos of the event on her public MySpace Web page.

The girls’ manager said she first learned of the photos on Tuesday and suspended the trio. On Wednesday, they were fired, said Rick Maynard, a KFC spokesman.

And the girl that posted it on her MySpace page? Here’s her reaction:

After removing the photos on her MySpace page from public access late Tuesday, the 17-year-old girl who had posted the photos made her entire page private Wednesday.

She also put up what appears to be a message for the media.

On the lone part of her page that is still public, she wrote: (sic)"Its a sad world when one has to stoop low enough to go through ones dirty laundry….one womans trash is anothers treasure! -Thanks alot for having good respect how can you live knowing the little bit of money you made was made hurting someone!"
