Nick McBride of Juniata College sent in pictures of some fun his department had with leftover Macintosh computer boxes. They made furniture out of them!

The couch that we put together can hold 2 or 3 people, has built in
cup holders, and would retail for $12,000 (if you purchased the Macs
to make it). We kept all the internal foam pieces to further reinforce
the sitting areas.

The easy chair was built the same way.

If you’re like the most of us, what you do to your junk is just throw them in one bin. Of course, there are also these people that segregate plastics from this and that.

And then, there’s upcycling:

The recyclers are out in force. Whether it’s using a local recycle centre or a council-provided green bin, it’s never been easier to get your household waste processed back into useful raw materials. But that takes energy – and why spend that energy when this “rubbish” can be turned into something useful in its present form?

It’s the first 100% recyclable paper container and is made entirely from renewable resources. The paper packaging is food-safe and can hold a variety of liquids, making it the perfect alternative to traditional water containers.
