Oobject does it again with another brilliant list comprised of 15 of the world’s most magnificent (and FAST) high speed trains and railways. Simply a must see.

In America, we’re used to driving. In fact, we thrive on it. However, in other countries, high speed rail is a key factor in getting people where they need to be. Some trains in existence can cover an entire country in a matter of hours, while the best we have is Amtrak’s Acela Express, a service that the Japanese and French laugh at for hours on end. I’ve been on a slow motion/high speed/time lapse binge as of late, which may be a good thing since I noticed that you folks are tiring from the regular time lapse videos of cities, skies and water. So, here is something a little different. Called “I-Movix SprintCam v3 NAB 2009 showreel”…yeah, the name isn’t so catchy or neat but the content is enough to make up for that. Created by David Coiffier who has a lot of other cool clips on his Vimeo page. My favourite has got to be the weird fuzzy green “bloooorp” thingy. I have no idea what it is but it really made my day.
