These Binoculars Do More Than Help You Spy On The Neighbors

Have you ever wanted a record of all you see while peering into your binoculars, whether bird, ballgame or a neighbor’s illicit activities? Maybe not, but even if you don’t care to record it all, you have to admit these binoculars are really cool! Built by Sony, the DEV-3 and DEV-5 are the binoculars of the future. With built in HD and 3D recorder, they are capable of doing everything you could ever want a pair of binoculars to do, except of course for x-ray vision. They can even shoot still pics at 7 megapixels, prompting the question: what would you do if you got your hands on a pair of these bad boys?

Space Chair, Best Commercial Ever

Posted by Johnny Cat in Advertising on December 7, 2009 at 1:28 am

The mad scientists at Toshiba are at it again.  With the help of Simon Faithful, they created not only the world’s highest HD TV ad, but one of the highest ads period.  By attaching their HD cameras to a weather balloon, they sacrificed the cams to make a point.  Not only can it perform, look what we can do with it.  We can focus on a vintage chair going into space.  Beautiful results.  Wait for the balloon pop.

Crazy High Speed Video

I-Movix SprintCam v3 NAB 2009 showreel from David Coiffier on Vimeo.

I’ve been on a slow motion/high speed/time lapse binge as of late, which may be a good thing since I noticed that you folks are tiring from the regular time lapse videos of cities, skies and water. So, here is something a little different. Called “I-Movix SprintCam v3 NAB 2009 showreel”…yeah, the name isn’t so catchy or neat but the content is enough to make up for that. Created by David Coiffier who has a lot of other cool clips on his Vimeo page. My favourite has got to be the weird fuzzy green “bloooorp” thingy. I have no idea what it is but it really made my day. Remember to check it out in HD!
