46 Reasons My Three Year Old Might be Freaking Out

Anyone who has ever had a three-year-old can relate to this list. These problems are overwhelming to a child just learning how the world works, but oh-so-funny to his parents. I had a hard time picking out just a few examples, but here they are:

The car seat is weird.

He’s hungry, but can’t remember the word “hungry.”

He’s not allowed in the oven.

I picked out the wrong pants.

His hair is heavy.

His sleeve is touching his thumb.

The inside of his nose stinks.

The rest are just as funny. And then commenters provided even more reasons from their real-life experiences! Link  -via Metafilter

On the other hand, it doesn't hurt kids to get used to inequality. But there are times when it maybe isn't the battle to fight...like the milk glass day. It just didn't seem to be the thing right then! We had a good laugh over it later, though!

Ha! You know, when the kids were young, we went to so much trouble to make sure everything was equal -like, if we got one kid a pink cup, we got the others cups also, in their favorite color. We didn't have much trouble out of them, and lately I wondered why I bothered. But seeing your comment, I realize what could have happened.

My niece had a meltdown because her tall fat glass was half full of milk while her sister's skinny short glass was completely full. There was no explaining to her that her own glass likely had more milk in it. The only answer was another short glass of equal size...into which we could not pour all of her milk...but she was happy.

Wow, I had a monochromatic eater too. When she was two, she'd only eat yellow food, which was easy (cheese, eggs, orange juice), but then she went to only eating white food for several years, which was downright scary. At least red food contains tomatoes and strawberries.
