I have had deep-fried hard boiled eggs before. An excellent pub snack is a "scotch egg" and it is pretty decadent and probably not on your local medical center's "heart safe" diet plan, but is delicious. Of course, the hard boiled egg is wrapped in yummy pork sausage before it is breaded and deep fried (to make it even more delicious) but I would highly reccomend them if you have never tried one.
