How to Make a Serving Dish from a Vinyl Record - Neatorama

This simple craft requires an oven, a cookie sheet, a pot and a vinyl record. First bake the record until it softens. Then press it over an overturned pot and bake it some more. Then it should be soft enough to shape with your (covered) hands.

My mother used to make flower pots this way from old records (must have been 78s). This was in 1954!

I got into the habit of Googling anything that doesn't pass the smell test. For example, the Strangest Coincidence video was submitted, but I went looking for corroboration and found an article to link to for that post, explaining how the legend may have come about.
