It took 6 months to make this video clip of the 2200-miles (3500+ km) long Appalachian Trail, which stretched from Springer Mountain, Georgia, to Mount Katahdin in Maine. But it’ll take you just a bit over four minutes and a half to make the virtual journey.

I have always dreamed of hiking the Applalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trails.
But sadly taking 6 months away from my kids and wife wouldn’t go over so well. The best I could hope for at this point is hiking sections of it a week at a time.

freakin sweet. i’d like to do this myself this summer on the Colorado Trail starting in Durango. I think it would be a lil more exciting terrain for a video

I remember reading about a guy who walked between Point Barrow, Alaska, to the tip of South America. I forget the direction.
