Padded Cell Made of Cotton Candy

By John Farrier in Art & Design on Jan 18, 2011 at 6:23 pm

If they ever catch you and lock you up, you’d better hoped that you’re thrown into this padded cell made by New York-based artist Jennifer Rubell. It’s made of cotton candy. The cell measures 8 by 16 feet and used the equivalent of 1,600 cones of cotton candy.

Just make sure the installment is in a humidity controlled building, because if there is too much moisture it starts looking nasty.

Lovely idea! A cell that can be eaten! I hope it doesn’t get infested with ants though! LOL!

I love cotton candy, but if I’m remembering correctly, that much of it in an enclosed space would kill me with the smell alone.
