Fun with Bladeless Fans
Get a whole lot of those new Dyson Air Multiplierâ„¢ fans and a balloon, and you could have a swell time! -via reddit

Just read an article this morning about how they can’t even give this thing away.
Nice to see someone paid 300 bucks a pop to make thisa vid.
I don’t think so. This vid was made by Dyson. They already had a bunch!
Whoa, I thought you were exaggerating the price but looked it up. They might as well open them all and set up a balloon course around the entire plant. They’re not going to sell many at $300 when you can buy a regular fan for $20 or less.
Yeah I saw one of those at Target when we were hunting for another fan. It’s a neat idea, but at that price.. pffft. Not worth it.
Plus I’ve heard that they are REALLY loud
After seeing all the loops, for a moment I thought it was going to be like a linear accelerator for balloons. These fans are really rather funky and seem to be appearing all over the place in the UK. Even recruitment companies in Oxford seem to have them now. Though I’ll have to wait until they’re in the £70 range and not the £200!
Must be fun to be Rich and waste monies of expensive fans…
I still don’t know how they work. Stared at one for a while at Best Buy.
@xadrian
The ring thingies are portals to a parallel universe that’s really really windy.
One day we will all travel through a series of tubes. Tubes designed by dyson.
It’s just not expensive and frivolous enough for my posh tastes. I’ll wait for the $10000 bladeless pencil sharpener while I enjoy my $500 iceless snow cone.
Yeah those aren’t bladeless, the blades are just hidden inside that bottom thing along with the motor.
BWAHAHAHA!
Now the world will tremble at the awsome might of my BALLON RAIL GUN!
