YouTube user TheJediCharles made a time-lapse video of a young girl losing her baby teeth and growing in her adult teeth over a seven month period. It consists of seventy frames with a photo taken about every three days.

Thank you for the interest in our video. The little girl is our daughter, and she thoroughly enjoyed making this, while it took dedication to see it through.
I can marginally understand the “wow that’s gross” comments, but I suppose most of it has to do with people who either aren’t parents or haven’t an inherit wonder for mother nature, and prefer the sterile and pristine to the scientifically honest.
Yes, while it wasn’t obvious before we started the project, it was clear at the end she was going to need some braces. Work began last month with a triple extraction to quicken the eruption of the next permanent teeth in order to start some early braces on (yes, I captured that on video, and the procedure went great). Also, she and I are considering another time-lapse video of her braces pulling her teeth into alignment, but we’ll see.
The “bloody tooth” is explained in the YouTube info as a baby tooth that had just cracked loose and was expected to fall out that night, but managed to stay another 3 whole months.
Anyway, she loves her video and we are glad you appreciated it enough to present it here. Thanks.
