The Future of the Internet Is Here, Ladies and Gentlemen!

By Alex in Blogs & Internet on Feb 4, 2010 at 2:43 pm

Forget the Neatorama redesign – that was nothing compared to this beauty.

Yes, you’ve found it at last … Behold, the world’s most beautiful website. No, it’s not a joke – it’s the website of an actual store called Yvette’s in Panama City, Florida.

Link (For the full effect, you should turn up your computer’s speaker.)

Now wasn’t that awesome? Why, you’re welcome.

I now have pink and blue spots burnt into my retina.

You can’t say they didn’t go all-out… the Vivaldi track on the front page is the cherry on the cake.

P.S. Liking HelloPresto and K!P’s comments.

That was a labyrinth of treasure! Recipes! History of portrait painting! Mary Kay!
Man – I fear Yvette has not seen the website that Sean Terrence Best has created for himself, er, I mean her shop.

I live in Panama City and I’m just so proud that we can claim this as our own. Now I’m going to the kitchen to hack my head off with a big knife. Thanks, Yvette.

Nothing blatant commercialism…thanks Neatorama. Next time I want to be annoyed, I’ll just click on a banner ad instead.

@bish – You found gold (and a convenient like to tuxedos!)

  27. Jill
    Feb 4th, 2010 at 10:53 pm

Why is Neatorama posting free ads for people?

    Like I said above…

Neatorama, you can CHARGE and run banner ads…and make more money.

  29. Color me... GORGEOUS
    Feb 5th, 2010 at 1:46 am

Wow. I wasn’t going to look, but then I did. I will never be the same. Did anyone else click on the links to, say, “read an composition”? Astounding! You’ve got to give her credit, though; she’s enthusiastic, energetic, and speaks un poquito espanol… and maybe French, Russian, Korean, Chinese and Japanese.

This site is just as pretty, but a whole lotta more disturbing.

    That’s a start.

    Feb 5th, 2010 at 4:01 am

And don’t forget! Yvette’s does (really horrible) portraits!

  34. Necronomic Recovery
    Feb 5th, 2010 at 5:04 am

    Sweet.
    Jesus.

I can’t believe that thing even exists. It makes Myspace look good. MYSPACE!

And Miss Cellania’s links were just as bad!

What happens when the mentally challenged and HTML get together.

  36. Louis de Bont
    Feb 5th, 2010 at 6:41 am

Looks like the old website for Chicks On Speed, so this is pretty avant garde, actually.

  37. weazeypeasey
    Feb 5th, 2010 at 6:44 am

I agree with Necronomic Recovery. This website made me miss Myspace.

Good lord. Anyone who designs a website like that needs to be hit over the head with a keyboard. Repeatedly.

    Feb 5th, 2010 at 9:47 am

What the hell does this mean?

“a thousand and one thanks to the young woman who loves the NightQueen, Antressa the Theophlosser!!”

    Is that code for something?

  40. Gail Pink

    In Florida. No surprise.

  41. renderanything
    Feb 5th, 2010 at 11:50 am

My personal favorite among all the MS Paint drawings? The map to their store, the one drawn with a mouse in Paint, in pink and purple with mouse written street names. Wow.

    JEEZUS!

It’s like the Microsoft Publisher Fairy took a dump on a server.

  46. ted
    Feb 6th, 2010 at 9:23 am

Did you ever think that maybe it was intentional?

    It certainly got noticed.

  47. Arachnea
    Oct 5th, 2010 at 5:34 pm

Try e-mailing them to tell them they should update their website. Go on. Do it. I dare you. In fact – when you get a response, before you start reading, put yourself on cam and record it for YouTube.

The website is done intentionally to hide them from galactic Space Aliens that are trying to steal Earths magic.

I am not even close to joking.
