Isn’t the thought that “all you need is love” what caused Africa’s AIDS crisis in the first place? How about “all you need is contraception”? Or “All you need is a non-agricultural economy to create wealth, education, electricity, and other things to spend your time on besides screwing and spreading disease”?

This is not going to help…or at least not very much.

Nice sentiments, but life goes on.

ALL YOU NEED IS MONOGAMY…ALL YOU NEED IS MON, MON, MONOMAGAMY.

What do you think of the video?

Hah, yeah…it’s the agriculture that’s the problem there Jeff.
Or maybe that they get stuck with the, oh so very short stick, thanks to TWO and NAFTA.
The extreme low prices they are offered, and the no tariffs laws are the major problems.
Educate yourself before you start spewing your ridiculous opinion.

AIDS is a problem; say thanks to the Catholic church for going around saying contraception is a sin.
You think they can just go to quick-e-mart and get a condom?
I agree that this is a problem they themselves have to deal with, being told about sins or not; but again, condoms don;t grow on trees….just goods for rich white people do.

As for the video, I think it was very cool. Great collaboration.

    Some folks can really sing!

    Hmmm…interesting.

Are Starbucks using ‘Fair Trade’ or is this PR just singing at us?

I just finished the video and noticed it’s 10:09. Can anyone tell me why that’s relevant, and had me do a double take?

    Awesome video, Miss C.

“AIDS is a problem; say thanks to the Catholic church for going around saying contraception is a sin.”

Oh yes, because the Catholic Church has such an unchallenged stranglehold over all of Africa?

Because religious scruples would be the only reason a guy wouldn’t want to use a condom?

Apply a bit of common sense before you start spewing your ridiculous opinion.

Larfin, the Organic Consumers Association says that Starbucks is the largest purchaser of Fair Trade Certified coffee in the world but it represents only a very small percentage of their total coffee sold

Was it just my imagination, or was there someone in the video listed as being from Palestine?

Since when is Palestine an official country?? Change the description to 155 countries.

@VM – if you would have read the rest of my post (and not just list one line, out of context)you would see that I just mentioned it, and I did not attribute the problem solely to that. I was addressing the use of condoms.
Read entirely before you pull a FAUX news move.

    @Gnarley – wow…stay indoors please.

@gnarley – over 100 countries have recognized Palestine, deal with it.
