Prisencolinensinainciusol

The song is called Prisencolinensinainciusol, written by Italian artist Adriano Celentano in 1972. Recorded by Celentano and Raffaella Carrà in an American accent, it sounds like it should be English, but the lyrics are pure gibberish. Link -via Metafilter

He's a modern day Richard Berry! He wrote the indecipherable song "Louie Louie" for those of you who don't know ...

This is like the opposite of the Family Guy "babadi boopi" scene

    Groovy tune though

    Hi
In Italy I used to put this song in playlist for Funk/Seventies stuff. I sssure you this is a floorfiller, audience getting crazy to this.
Hey guys, consider this is from 1972, it can be considered a visionary anticipation of the Hip-Hop to come many years after. Nugget!

This must be what pop English songs sound like to those who don't speak the language!

That is one of the more psychedelic things I've seen in a while! Especially knowing that they're singing jibberish.

Late to post again. Ahh well.

I was once at a disco in Finland near the Arctic circle and met this Finnish girl who could reproduce any accent while speaking nonsense (she only spoke Finnish). Her American and UK English accents were perfect while the meaning was gibberish. All her friends thought she was a legend and they were right.

Interesting to see a song around the idea.

    Damn she was cute.

This has become popular on CollegeHumor under the name "What English Sounds Like to Foreigners". Of all the videos to spread throughout the web, this is a good one. :)
