Love video games and jazz? Well, Scott Bradlee and Ben Golder-Novick teamed up to bring you this: classic video game music in piano and saxophone!

Love 8-bit Nintendo games but not necessarily 8-bit musical
instruments? Wish you could hear the soundtracks of those games
rendered by live musicians as you play?

Eight Bits of Jam will come into your living room and provide real-time acoustic soundtracks to old school games such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda,
Mike Tyson’s Punch-out, and many more. All you have to do is put the television on ‘mute’ and Eight Bits of Jam will take care of the rest.

Its neat, I've never heard it done with piano *and* sax, but for live Nintendo music I prefer the minibosses.

Clever, brilliant. It really shows how much importance BGM music in video games.

I'd want a bass, drums, and the occasional trumpet on top of the sax and piano.

Nice, I love those games. Very creative. Have you considered any new games? Perhaps Halo, or GTA.

Hey, it's amazing. I like this very much.
One of the reason is that the games are old that I played with. Another is that the rhythm is so funky.

I'll check around. Where do I get it?

We've got an interview with Ben and Scott, if anyone's interested in more information on their Eight Bits of Jam project: http://www.geek6.com/u/31

I wonder if that's Ben Golder-Novick's real personality or if he was like "how can I really drive home the point that I play the sax?"
