Blackcurrant Tango Ad

We posted about The Man Who Walked Around The World (link to clip here at the Zeray Gazette), a fantastic ad for Johnny Walker whiskey starring Robert Carlyle, directed by Jamie Rafn and produced by ad agency BBH London. It was all shot in one continuous take and was simple yet with a very engaging narrative (thus showing us that you don’t need no CGI to be good).

Well, if you thought that was good, this one out for Blackcurrant Tango, with a little added humor to the one continuous take idea: Link [YouTube Link]

Not to miss the point, but if the White Cliffs of Dover were in America, there would be so many barriers to prevent you from falling over, you wouldn't get within twenty feet of the cliff.

Fun ad, though. I think they might have made a cut in there somewhere....

They made like 4 cuts - but did go to great lengths to make 'em seem like one continuous take. Also, lots of CGI on this one :)

It's always kind of a drag when the preview still image (midpoint) of a YouTube video gives away some portion of what's coming.

Yeah, I was expecting the boxing ring at the end. Totally ruined it.

And, yes it wasn't one continuous take. Unless that office building is really close to Dover.

I like how he ran into the cameraman at the start.

    Good point for creativity.

It was shot in at least 3 different locations. The office was in Croydon for example. Brilliant, brilliant ad though. My all-time fave.

One take or not, still really cool.
