It’s cool enough to have a realistic Bumblebee costume, but what makes this one Neato is that it actually transforms from robot to car mode. I don’t have any more information about this clip. CrunchGear thinks that it’s being used as a promotional gimmick in a car dealership, which seems like a reasonable guess.

This costume is part of “Transformes 2″ and Camaro promotional campaign here in México. Many Chevrolet dealers had this attraction (including of course the real Camaro) in order to try to rise car sales.

Also, God, I would love it if the real Bumblebee would transform that slowly, awkwardly, and self consciously.

Two Hallowe’ens ago, just after the “Transformers” movie came out, a student at a high school where I work came to school in his home-made Transformer costume. As we all stood amazed, he crouched to the floor in the hallway and went from robot warrior to sports car in about five seconds. We gave him a standing ovation!

All I can think of is how the head is just a repainted Optimus voice changer. They could update it with the Bumblebee one they made for TF2.
