Duck Family Climbing an Escalator

I find this cute for about 5 seconds. Then I realize that it’s a little bit sick. People getting off on animal’s misfortune.

Why is there a duck family in a building that has a escalator?

I’m guessing the Peabody Hotel in Memphis TN. The top floor is occupied by a family of ducks (I am not making this up) that the staff bring don to the lobby a couple of times a day to play in the hotel fountain.
