Tattooed Equation

We’ve featured quite a few science tattoos on Neatorama, but this is one for the books! Do you know what these equations represent? Find out at The Loom. Link

I don't understand why some of those ra's need double brackets. It's like he's drawn out the equation with redundant extra symbols in an effort to make the equation look as long as possible to impress people with how crazy smart he is.
Or maybe I just don't get it.
Ha! I used to have a t-shirt that said "What Part Of (that equation) Don't You Understand?"
It's hard to make out but the equation is from Quantum Mechanics. That's the Hamiltonian for several particles.
I come to this site to get away from studying Physics! arrrgh!
I wouldn't trust a tattoo artist to get through the
whole thing without a typo.
I'm tired of all the stories being from digg.com now!
this guy's backside is going to look goofy as he ages and we find that the equation needed to be modified due to a new particle discovery or a new way to write the math using computers code instead. At least that what happened to the guy who tattooed the slide-rule algorithm describing the density of cheese residing on on the moon to his butt.
Jess, in Quantum mechanics, the "type" of bracket has a special significance. What seems redundant in regular algebra is essential in QM.

My bad!
It says " If you can read this your a geek"
Math (or whatever it is on the guy's back) is booooring. He could have a huge sign 'bore' tattooed there as well.
that's the mathematical equation for "single"
