So after the absurdity of waiting forever to get my hands on a Wii Fit, I thought it might work for the site I work for to put together a quick video with a few hat tips to other popular online videos detailing what is most likely the experience of 90% of the people who purchase a Wii Fit in order to lose weight and get into shape.
We just posted it this morning and I think it is one of the things that I am both most proud of and most ashamed of ever filming for the internet. I'm sure once the comments start rolling in, the pride will all be replaced with shame...- via obsessable

Kinda reminds me of my first week with my new shiny metal DDR pad, I gained around 1.5 lbs but according to my dietician at the time, I was building muscle... which weighs more than fat so I should see the difference the week after. I was doubtful and depressed but they were right. The following week I was down by 7lbs. /flex!
Also make sure you weigh yourself at the same time every day and at the same point in your daily routine.
If you weighed yourself one week just after getting up in the morning and taking a poo, then the next week weighed yourself after getting up and eating breakfast and NOT after taking a poo, then yeah... there will be some difference of course.
sadtomato, I'm not saying you cannot get a good workout from it; I'm saying it takes you actually planning out a workout from all the disparate pieces.
You have to remember that the system is designed for people aged 18 or above despite its appealing cuteness and so the BMI calculations it makes are always going to skew upwards for children because of the assumptions that it makes.
As for the N64 kid reference, I must admit I had forgotten about it.
As for weight fluctuations, I have these "ultra-precise" scales and I tried them before and after going to the toilet and yet they weighed me the same. I'm not so convinced by the accuracy any more.
How in the world did you work an "I hate obama" comment into this post?!
Also, usage of the word 'sheeple' is extremely annoying. Although, I do like the irony of situation that those who use it are 'following the pack' of others who think they are so clever for using a non-word synonym for 'a conformist'.
Wow, I completely missed that. Which makes me go wow even more.
SKIDWORTH. YOU ARE INDEED NEAT.
No, I knew you were acting. The scene just stopped me from watching any further. I have a very limited attention span.
Anyway, to sum up: the vid was hilarious and I love my wii fit!
