You don't need a webcam... just stick your head in the beam and have a look -

Not knowing what to expect, my sense of survival compelled me to lean involuntarily to one side before the beam was started. Hey, you never know.

did anyone ever see the video (possibly a hoax) where some base jumpers got footage of an unidentifiable thing flying thru their frame? they slowed it and it appeared to look like an arrow's tail... saw it once on tv 5 years ago, never since... any ideas?

I kept waiting for some interesting results to appear at the end, and... they never arrived.

Was anyone else expecting the cam to explode? Now that would have been interesting.

note to self: particle streams ruin your camera, aim elsewhere

gtron, it's called a rod. Do a search of rod and cryptozoology

@Easy & Dave - Yeah! Me too. When it said "interesting results," I thought: "Well, surely it won't explode, because that doesn't make sense... oh god I hope it explodes!"

OMG.... Christophe stole my comment again. This is getting a bit freaky. Was gonna say "I wonder why all those old movies had particle beams aimed at the camera."
