   if only i had that kind of free time... only in college. It took me 4 months to make a full chain maille suit, no way i could do that again.

   This site (vectorvault) is blatantly ripping off the creator of the model, Shunichi Makino. They have stamped their own copyright onto the image of the model's parts sheets, and onto the images of the completed model (taken from the designer's site), and don't even mention the designer's name or site. The "Download here" link takes you to the designer's page for the model, still without crediting the designer.

   And more: the link to the AT-AT model (bottom of the page) is similarly stolen from the designer.

   I doubt they're ripping off artists at vectorvault or here. they're probably just blogging about what the artist has created.

   If they were trying to rip-off artwork from someone else why the hell would they link to the artists site???

   Im a big papercraft fan and have numerous ones i have done on my desk. Here is the link to other great Star Wars papercrafts by the same designer. The At-St is a pain!

   @dameatballs: The problem is that the site gives no credit to the designer, and claims his imagery as its own by stamping its own copyright statement on the images. Looking at the other paper models blogged there, I haven't found any credit given to any of the designers, or even any mention of their names.

   Give credit where it's due: "We found this awesome model of [subject] at [designer]'s site at [URL] and want you to know about it."

   And quit stamping copyright statements on other people's images.

   In response to Mike Hungerford's comments above:

   If you take a look at the posts on Vectorvault you'll see that all of my images are prepared with the artist credit running on the bottom.

   This takes a great deal of time. Very few blogs do it. But it is the one thing that sets us apart and I am glad to do it.

   The only reason that this did not have Shunichi Makino's name on it was because I was unable to find it. I now see it clearly.

   Now that I know it, I can re post the image. Thanks for your help.

   As you can see, there is nothing dishonest here. Only a misunderstanding.

   You obviously misread it.
