Last May, artist Daniel Firman had an exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. He created this taxidermied (is that a word?) elephant, titled Würsa. The whimsical equilibrium is supposed to show what even a large thing like an elephant could do 18,000 km (~11,200 mi) above the earth.

I agree, using dead animals as elements of a work of art is macabre and distasteful...

This exhibition was great (sorry, dead animal lovers !)... in the same one, you had this water bottle cannon, that was launching beer bottles at 600 km/h on a steel plate ! And an army of computerized darth vader helmets making random music !

Some art exhibits really make me wonder. Where do they come up with these ideas? An Elephant doing a nose stand. Is it really art?

You people are all about making things out of bacon, but when it actually looks like the original animal, you get your panties in a bunch.
