Name the Baby

By Miss Cellania in Baby & Kids on Oct 7, 2008 at 4:58 pm

If you’re not too busy playing online games today, you can help Jason Morrison and his wife name their baby!

My wife and I are expecting, and thus we have to pick a name for our new baby. We’ve perused baby name websites and tried the Freakonomics tactic of predicting popular names, but to be honest none of it was really working.

As a Googler, though, the answer should have been obvious – let the Internet do it! So that’s what we’re doing, opening up our baby’s name to an Internet-wide vote.*

* We do reserve the right to ignore the results of the poll completely. Otherwise we’ll end up with a kid named Mr. Splashy Pants. Actually, that has a nice ring to it…

Link -Thanks, Jason!

Everyone, choose “bazooka”. Raddest name ever.

I think if it’s a boy you should go with “McCoy” just the coolest name ever and it gives him an eassy carrer choice, a cop that plays by his own rules and there for has the captina yelling McCOY all the time.

The best thing they could do for this kid is put it up for adoption.

    How about Douchebag Junior?

Whatever happens I think the kid will end up hating his parents for doing this.

Won’t that be a cute story when he/she is older?

“My parents were so bereft of creativity that they let some unknown douchebag on the intarwebs name me…’Dylan’??? They had to go to the intarnet for THAT?!”

It’s better than “Asma” I suppose. WTF are they thinking?

I propose ‘Walker Texas Ranger’. Even better than Bazooka ;)

And yes : Asma?!! With a T. something as a second name you feel safe from whatever chemical spill is around there…

Megan, when I was typing up this item, my fingers actually wrote “name their babby”. You know I’m an awful typist! Lucky I caught it in time.

For a boy how about something from the Bible like Deuteronomy. You could call him “Dude”.

My prediction for ultimately cool names of the moment are Old Norse names.

For boys how about considering Busby, Digby, Roscoe or Loki!

For girls, I like Liv, Astrid and Sigrid and Shelby.

I think this is a cheap way of getting out of picking your own baby’s name but anywho…for a boy maybe Matthew or Steven and for a girl maybe Gabrielle or Madison. Madison Morrison sounds cool.
