Just to clarify, Ganesh is not an elephant god. He’s a god that has an elephant’s head. The head was a replacement for his human head. He’s not an elephant, though.

I dunno. That’s pretty offensive-looking. Maybe more to anyone’s sense of aesthetics than to religion.

Seems pretty offensive to me; just as offensive as the silkscreened shirts with giant buddhas on the just because they look “oriental”.

I’m pretty offended by this and I’m Christian!

Not NEARLY as offensive as The Passion of The Christ.

National Geographic went all the way to India to find a vinyl toy designed by an American. that’s rather funny. And stop getting all offended you people out there. OMG Doze Green used religious motif’s like he sometimes does. Som of you seem like you are looking to be offended by something. That’s moronic frankly.

Yes, that is a piece of Doze Green awesomeness — part of the “designer vinyl” or “art toy” movement. This tiny deity on a boom box can also be found right here in the US:

Luckily Hindus tend to be pretty peacful people, so as long as this was meant with no disrespect I don’t think too many Rock Steady Crew records will be burned in Mumbai.
